Zinc-Nickel

Maximal Corrosion Protection

By using a special electrolyte, parts are covered with a layer of Zinc-Nickel, possibly with a seal. This gives a very high corrosion resistance, suitable for extreme conditions and applications. They are also highly resistant to high temperatures (up to 120°C). Zinc-nickel coatings are mostly used for applications where ordinary zinc coatings do not offer sufficient corrosion protection. Typical values according to the salt spray test (ISO 9227) on test plates are 360 hours to white rust and up to 1000+ hours red rust. Zinc-nickel corrodes about 8 times slower than classic zinc. In recent years it has become the reference coating in the automotive sector, where for most applications zinc-nickel is preferred over other coatings.

Applications

  • Truck: ultimate corrosion resistance for example in the engine compartment.
  • Automotive: ensuring very high corrosion resistance in the engine compartment and the lower part of the car where there is a risk of damage from stone chips.
  • Mechanical Engineering: ensuring very high corrosion resistance and increased temperature resistance
  • Construction: scaffolding components and fixing brackets for the more corrosive environments.

Maximum dimensions: 2350 x 600 x 1050 mm
