Tin-Nickel plating - detail page

Electrolytic treatment for copper, brass, and bronze
Electrolytic tin-nickel offers an economical alternative to silvering, tinning, and nickel plating. Tin-nickel has been developed for application on parts made of brass, copper, and bronze. A comparison between tin-nickel and tin shows that the conductivity of tin-nickel clearly scores better in the long term. In addition, the temperature resistance is also remarkably higher than that of tin. This makes tin-nickel an ideal coating for applications in electronics.
Corrosion Resistance
A neutral salt spray test on brass components shows that the corrosion resistance of tin-nickel is significantly higher than with traditional coatings. This makes the coating perfectly suitable for use in maritime environments.
