Water management
Surface treatment requires water. A lot of water. At LGTB, all wastewater from the various process technologies is collected and treated separately. Different process technologies treat the water to an exceptionally high degree of purity. Moreover, we reuse 65 percent of the treated wastewater: a unique feat. And a way to significantly reduce water consumption. Protecting the environment is a commitment for LGTB.
combined heat and power (CHP)
"In 2009, we invested in a combined heat and power (CHP) system. This simultaneous production of electricity and heat increases efficiency by 30% compared to conventional techniques. As a result, LGTB significantly reduces its greenhouse gas footprint.
Solar panels
For more than a decade, LGTB has had an extensive solar panel installation. This covers a significant proportion of the electricity needs of the production processes.
